Whitethorn Cottages are situated on a quiet country road beside the Craigantlet Hills, 10 miles from Belfast City Airport.

Our aim is to make you feel at home away from home, all the necessaries and bit more than you expect. When you stay in a hotel you get a room with us you have the luxury of a whole cottage. When guests arrive we feel they are always surprised as to how much bigger the cottages look from the pictures on the website. We think when you go on holiday you want to treat yourselves to something special. To make your stay special we provide everything we can think of to make your stay as easy as possible. You can cook what you want, eat when you want and carry in or get delivered to you what you want. Our location is excellent, convenient to Belfast, Bangor and Newtownards yet in the heart of the countryside, surrounded by fields with spectacular views of Strangford Lough and Scrabo Tower. (On a good day you can see the Mountains of Mourne.) Within a few miles are the sandy beaches of Helensbay, Crawsfordburn and Ballyholme on Belfast Lough. Although you may never want to venture away from the cottages and the exquisite surroundings, we can arrange golf, fishing, horse riding and trekking to tempt you out into the refreshing County Down air.
